:Dguess whos back!
...ME! ;D
ok yall...heres the way the cookie crumbles
my friends and family are all safe!
my home is only missing three shingles, has one broken window, and a huge hunk of tree beside it in the backyard.
I just got electricity today....the 12th day...just so you know.
yea that was torture right there.
my city was pretty trashed by the winds of Rita..but it couldve been worse. after all we were expected to be under about oh idk 20ft of water.
my school is okay...we start back the 17th of this month. As far as football season goes...we are still up in the air but rumor is that we will get like "winning season titles" and not make up the games we missed that way we could still go to playoffs. for example. my school right now is (3-0) so we are 100% because it would go by percentage...so...hehe we would be in the playoffs! ;D
we would be anyway...are team is freakin awesome. woo our defense....woo my boyfriend...
lets see what else.
you know whats wierd?
i had never heard of this happenin before and i dont know why it is, but i went outside and there are a million caterpillars EVERYWHERE! the worms not the trucks.
i think its because the misquito spray is knockin outta the trees. not sure.
Some good stuff came outta this crazyness. For example i got to spend time out on my aunt and uncles ranch....its soooo beautiful. they have cattle and horses and and ah. loved it. I even caught two bass in their pond!
lost my cat out there tho.
thats ok.
i also got to spend time with my cajun grandmaw. lol haha shes freakin awesome...and now i speak some cajun more.
i just wanna make a notion to point out something im really proud of.
the response.
i am so proud of my neck of the woods for gettin out when they saw trouble comin. Katrina definitely caught our attention, i hate that we had to learn our lesson the hard way...however, im just so proud that people took it seriously this time. Another good thing is the people around here. Everybody is helping everybody, looting and crime is low...its there...of course...but it is really kept down by the enforcements such as the police...etc...whoever is in charge. The electricians have been workin so hard too. there were over 300,000 people without electricity because of rolling blackouts. now i hear there is only about 70,000...in 12 days. wow.
I wanna especially say something about FEMA. they have been really helping. in fact they are gonna give those who registered and whatever they do $2000 to help out no matter how minor the damage. The army guys, FEMA, Red Cross, churchs, volunteer and sooooo oooon have been cookin and cleanin like a bunch of mommas and i cant thank them enough. Good eatin too. lol.
well yall keep prayin. and im gonna stop ramblin. haha i tend to do that a lot. but theres an update. thanks again yall.
oh one more thing
I MISS PBR AND FOOTBALL!!!!!!! #drool# THANK GOD FOR ELECTRICITY. ITS THE FIRST THING ON MY AGENDA. I NEED UPDATES PEOPLE! UPDATES! ;D
