Hey, I was over at "that other board" and saw this. Thought I'd share with you all. It looks like it might be pretty good! (Ty Murray gave it glowing reviews) Also might shed some light into the Tuff Hedeman-Randy Barnyard dispute...... Gonna put this book on my Christmas list! Check it out: www.friedtwinkies.com/index.html Once you're on the webpage, click on "see the vidlit" - it's pretty good!

Yeah I saw that. I was thinking about getting it. It sounds interesting. Maybe someone on here can do a book review over it that has read it. If not I may just have to get it and let you know how it is.

Well Kelly and I have both read the book. I am not sure if anyone else has yet. The book is pretty good. the description of the rides and events are a little "mechanical" but the other insights are very interesting. You will defiantly look at a few riders in a new way, good or bad, after reading it. It also gives a great discussion of the whole internal conflict between the PBR and Tuff. It is an easy read and a lot of fun. If you do end up picking up the book let me know. Maybe we can do a book club with it one night in the chat.

yes the book was pretty good. Some riders are protrayed hmmm... in a different light. My favorite part of the book was about the Berger's and LYJ. IT gave a lot of insight on stock contracting and the riders. Also, don't that the title give you any ideas. The fried Twinkie part is weird and has nothing to do with the PBR. The buckle bunnies are mentioned like twice. However, the book does talk about the riders and some politics. But don't believe everything you read b/c from what i hear Randy Bernhard had a say in a lot of what was written. I do have to say the book gave some insight on Randy and I now respect him a lot more.

Fried Twinkies is only $14.95 if you buy it at Barnes & Nobles online (free shipping on any order over $25.00) and $24.95 at their stores (plus tax). The used versions on Amazon were $17.95 + shipping. The recipe is free online (never used vinegar in twinkes before). cowboy4443

So, I just finished the book today. It took me like two days to read, it was a page turner. I thought it was very interesting and gave a new light to everything and answered some questions that I had. I would recommend reading it if you haven't. I agree that you get to see some of the riders in a different way, it is really interesting!
