OK... Walmart is owned by stockholders and the Sam Walden family out of Bentonville, Arkansas. The Waldens are of Christian belief. Walmart has prohibited their marketing department and employees from referring to the word Christmas. They have been instructed to use the word "holiday" instead. Home Depot is based in Lawrenceville, Georgia and owned by stockholders and the Jonathon Rodbell family. The Rodbell's are of Jewish belief and everything at Home Depot is "Merry Christmas". Many of my friends are Jewish merchants, mail Christmas cards, and wished Christians had Christmas every month (I'm Cathloic by the way). If you shop Walmart, please look every employee in the eye and say "have a merry Christmas". In Nashville, mayor Bill Percell has renamed the town square Christmas tree a holiday tree so not to offend anyone. Well Mr Percell... you just pissed away my vote next election. Merry Christmas and a safe happy new year to all. Charlie

I agree. I think that whole Christmas / Holiday thing is ridiculous!! We personally use Christmas in our family but we are Baptist too...So you know.. Just remember Jesus is the reason for the season!!

Since we're on the religion subject, my women's group at church (we are all moms of the little kiddos) gave our children, well, actually we gave Jesus a birthday party. The kids had a gr8 time and they truly know Jesus is the reason for the season. It was funny though, some kids kept asking... "Is Jesus here yet" and when the lady that made the cakes son wanted to dip his finger in the cake before the party she told him that the cake was for Jesus, he replied, "well he ain't gonna be there". We laughed so hard. We are Methodist and I agree, Christmas was started b/c of Christ! This politically correct world is starting to piss all of us off I think.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Okay so i can see both angles here... If you don't celebrate x-mas and don't believe in God/Christ, etc... it can be offensive. However, I know quite a few Jewish people that do celebrate Christmas. They may not buy into all the biblical stuff involved with it but they do buy presents and have an x-mas tree. I am not religious at all and do not know what I believe but I do know I don't believe all of the things that are in the bible so I just think of Christmas as Santa and a time of giving, not that it's Christ's b-day... and I think a lot of people similar to me would agree that Christmas can have many meanings to many different people, it's not just a religious holiday. Either way this is all getting ridiculous! I don't celebrate Hanukkah but wouldn't be offended if someone told me to have a good one.

I agree with Natalie. Why is everyone trying to be so politically correct? I'm getting kind of tired of it. But I don't really care I guess because I know the true meaning. Merry Christmas Everyone. God Bless

Well walmart must of got the hint and made a monkey out of me. Just before Christmas I strolled thru wallyworld in search of endive & escrole. Every employee I met wished me a Merry Christmas. All they had was collard greens and mustard, but picked up on the true meaning of Christmas. Monkeyman
