How sweet it is to have an NBA team in Oklahoma. The Ford Center is selling tickets fast and Furious, 2,000 season tickets sold on the first day. I am excited and I am planning on going to at least 2 or 3...that is if I can make it to the game. News people are saying if Hurricane Rita hits Houston the gas will shoot up to $5.00 to $6.00 per gallon and I cant be driving to the city at that cost!!!!!!!!!

Whatever punjabi, if gas was 10 a gallon and they were playing someone you wanted to see I know you go. And if not you would hitch a ride halfway with us because you know we would be going:) I put in our information this morning about getting tickets for the minnesota game and probably cleveland, and maybe charolette. Who knows! That is crazy they are selling out so fast though!! You know after they are here that Oklahoma is going to decide they need a pro team of some kind. Which will be exciting for us!!

Yeah, maybe this will help me get back into the NBA. I used to be the world's biggest NBA fan, but it has stunk the last couple years. Then again, it's always better when my favorite team plays better.
Anyway, I'm excited about the Hornets playing in OKC this season, and I hope OKC gets a team in the future because of this. Hopefully, all of us Okies can prove we deserve a team.

What is this nba you are talking about. Oklahoma must be ecstatic about this nba thing. My only problem is is this the new league because i thought way back in the day there were guys named bird, paxson, laimbeer, eaton, price, mullin, ehlo, and the others like jordan, magic, thomas, Kareem, Parrish, Mchale, Stockton Malone, and that was known as the National Basketball Association. What is it today in my opinion it stands for Nothing But Amatures and many more sayings that is the most appropriate.

Well, there are MANY MORE talented basketball players than there has ever been in my opinion, but the entire team concept has been thrown out the window. And there are too many high schoolers skipping college and too many college players leaving college after a year or two.
This has killed the game as of late. But as for the players, they are awesome! There just aren't enough "teams."

I am not an NBA fan (not against it just not a fan). I swore that when I logged on last night and checked the schedule for the Hornets they had a game scheduled on the 28th in OkC which would be at the Ford Ctr when the PBR is scheduled to be there. I was looking at the schedule to see if I could figure out why all of the downtown hotels are not available. I am sure they blocked the rooms in anticipation of the Hornets.
I checked the Hornets schedule tonight and the game at home is the 25th, two days before the OkC PBR event in January. I was scared they would bump the PBR date due to the new contract in OkC for the Hornets. I am certain I saw the date for a home game in OkC on the 28th (on the hornets site last night) and the PBR is scheduled to be in Okie land Jan 27-29. If the date was scheduled for the Hornets to play the 28th in the Ford Ctr, like I think it saw on the website last night then I guess the PBR is the winner and gets the venue for that date. Perhaps it was in the contract with the PBR/Ford Ctr that nothing could change the PBR booked date.
Whew, I was worried about this! I hope they unblock the hotels so we Okies can stay close to the action! ;D (love the teeth on that smiley!)

Trust me David Stern would not allow the New Orleans Hornets to play any games at the ford center unless they had promised to cancel all events that caused conflicts for the NBA
After all one weekend of pbr can be changed one season for the NBA is not worth the problems that would arise. You have season tix you, have tv contracts, and further more there is a players association that would block any problem that may arise.
Just cause we are fans of the pbr does not mean the pockets of the pbr are deep enough to battle the NBA. LMAO and you thought that the pbr won.
THAT IS FUNNY.
Diehard fans crack me up. Use logic not your heart.
