Looks like Edgard made up for his lousy finals in a big way:
Edgard Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) dominated round one with an impressive 90.25 point effort aboard Smiley owned by Davis/White/PMS. Ross Johnson (Alvord, Texas) posted 87.5 points for second aboard Johnny Hoyle's Tar Baby while 2005 PBR World Champion Justin McBride won third in the round with 87 points on Berger/Ryken's Rockin Robin. As the first round victor Oliveira was awarded the opportunity to compete for the Mossy Oak Shoot Out bonus money. Oliveira claimed the lucrative $35,000 Mossy Oak Shoot Out bonus when he topped Bowtech's Walking Tall owned by Chad Berger and Larry Ryken for 86.75 points.
