Hi Rodeo Cowboy,
This is a reply I got on another board when I inquired about the lack of Herrington Bulls at the PBR Finals (except for Blueberry)
"Sling Blade is back at Junior's and hell's bell's is at hanna's bend belly deep in coastal grass.."
I have no clue who Junior is though........

Junior (I forget his last name, Robinson maybe?) is where Sling Blade came from originally. The Herringtons are taking a step back in their bucking bull program, thats all Ive heard. Hope they arent selling out like Don Kish is.

CSB what was also written on the other board to my inquiry last month about the Herringtons olnly had Blueberry at the finals is this
" herrington dont even own maximus anymore, Jody Mataska is using him as a breed bull. I dont know bout hells bells or sling blade. They have some great up and coming bulls in the next few yrs though" Justin Crawford
and
"Robbie's got some cards up his sleeve they just young right now be paitence the other side of the ride will be back!!" -Posted by the same person who mentioned Sling Blade was at Junors.
I know on the Blueberry Wine DVD they do seem to have a lot of youngsters from Hollywood, Red Wolf, some Dillinger and Blueberry that they have hopes for.
I hope that they stay in the game. They seem to be wonderful folks, who take exemplary care of their bulls (not to say that others don't)
As For KISH he has Seven bulls I think at the NFR right now.

According to a friend of Dons, he is done with the PBR and selling out of his older bulls. I guess we have to wait and see what happens!

I saw in the Humps and Horns bull riding news magazine that they were handing out free at the Finals Fan Zone, Don Kish has most of his older bulls for sale... Ugly, Shyster, Showtime, McNasty, Stunts Calafornia and Wildside are all listed.

Hells Bells and lot of his young bulls are are right near my house...about an hour away
and he has some really rank young bulls that I hope to see in the pbr...but hes not lettin his older bulls get rusty...he brought hells bells to an open rodeo in liberty and he's still the same old him.

What I have been told by a relialbe source that I will not disclose is that Herrington's never even owned Sling Blade they leased him and a few others like JJ. I guess there money tree finally quit producing  . And Junior would be Junior Allen I beleive is his last name. |
