This was posted today on the www.friedtwinkies blog page...... --------------------------------------------------- Allan Moraes faces suspension for cutting Coyote with spurs January 9th, 2006 by Josh Peter Allan Moraes, the youngest brother of two-time champion Adriano Moraes, faces an indefinite suspension and an undetermined fine for cutting Coyote with his spur Sunday night during the championship round at the Worcester (Mass.) Classic, one of the bull’s owners said. Nevada Berger, whose family’s company and Tom Teague co-own the bull, on Monday said PBR vice president Cody Lambert told him that Moraes would not be allowed to compete until the bull was healthy enough to return to action. Berger said he thinks the bull will be sidelined for at least a month, primarily because they want to protect against an infection. The PBR’s board of directors will talk today and rule on the matter, Moraes said he was told. The rowels on Moraes’ spurs sliced across Coyote’s back when Moraes got bucked off, and Berger estimated the gash was 18 inches long and deep enough to cut all the way through the bull’s hide. The veterinarian who stitched up Coyote in arena’s alleyway said it typically would take three or four passes with a scalpel to cut a bull that deeply, according to Berger. The bull, considered one of the best on the PBR tour, has been ridden only nine times in 62 trips and bucked at the past four PBR World Finals. Randy Bernard, CEO of the PBR, could not be immediately reached for comment.

Thanks for posting the info. Since there is already a VERY active thread on this in the PBR discussion section I am going to lock this thread so we can keep all the comments in a single place. Hope everyone will join the discussion there!
