Kelly called today for tickets for the Chicago event and was promptly asked if she would like tickets for the 2:00 or 8:00 show. This threw us both for a loop. According to the ticket rep this is something that they have done before so that "children" would be able to attend the events as well. When we looked at the schedule we noticed that several events now have two shows scheduled for Sat. This means that some of the guys will be getting on 3 bulls that day (assuming they will run it like a normal 3 round show and short go) Is this something that they have done in the past and we just totally missed? What do you all think of this format?

i got the same call. i have never heard of this before, and i really think is not fair to the riders. i did go ahead and order tickets to the sat. afternoon event. that way i won't be in chicago after dark, i have heard that isn't the greatest area to be in. i also asked if since jack daniels had pulled out if the event would still be a go. she was quiet for a while then said that it wouldn't make a difference. the event was on schedule.

That area of Chicago is actually not bad as it is near O'Hare and in the suburbs and not actually downtown.
As far as the Jack Daniels rumor...there is also a rumor going around that they are pulling out of the PRCA to focus on the "tours" or PBR type associations so that maybe where the rumor of them pulling out may have come from. Not saying that it for sure is not true but as I said before to terminate after the first year of a 5 year agreement would be very odd.

I know that the Chicago event has 3 different ticket sales available: (1) Friday night, (2) Saturday afternoon, (3) Saturday night
Sounds like it's either 3 rounds or the Saturday night event is just the Short Go.
The All-State arena is close to O'Hare. It's not in a bad area at all. It's right off a major expressway. Easy to get to (not counting traffic).
I'm excited as ever to have a PBR event in the Chicago area. I couldn't believe it until someone mentioned it to me at a dog show I was at. I didn't bother looking at the 2006 schedule prior to that since Chicago has never been a destination.

Okay so I called again today and got better information. The lady I talked to wasn't sure why they have done this format but she said that it would be two full rounds on Saturday and the 8PM showing would have a championship round as well. So basically the event is a 4 round event, just like a Friday, Sat., and Sunday event.

I think Chicago is the only event that has this format this year... I bet they are trying it out to see what everyone thinks.
