It is good to see Jody riding. I checked his website but no updates for a long time. Looks like he is on the mend though and that is good. His longtime buddy, Willis Trosclair, is doing well in the NABA also. Looking forward to seeing these two back on the PBR circuit soon!

Hey guys....sorry I haven't updated Jody's website/message board. Graduate school is killing me!!! I'm staying too busy with school, Jody, and 3 kids!

Huntsville was Jody's first event back. He pulled some muscles, but that's to be expected when he hasn't ridden in 2 months. He's been having a rough go at it...not staying on as many as he'd like...but he's doing okay physically. He will be riding at the Rocky Cup in Canada on June 28. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. And thanks for not forgetting about Jody!!!

Glad to hear that Jody is getting back into the swing of things. Gave us a little scare there with his injury! Sure do miss seeing him on the PBR tour. Since he first came on the scene, Jody's always been a favorite of ours. Forget about him?? Nah, not gonna happen!!

Amanda - Is Jody's goal to get back on the PBR tour, or will he be active in other organizations, like the CBR, PRCA, etc? Just wondering where to look for him... Thanks for posting the update for us!

I don't know that Jody's "goal" is to get back on tour...but if it happens, we'll just accept it as God's will. He was trying to get back on tour when he got injured...we wondered if God was trying to close a door on the bullriding or if it was just a test of our faith. Our faith is getting stronger each fighting day...but as far as the bullriding goes...we're still waiting for God to reveal Himself to us.

Jody's ultimate goal is to stay home with the kids. He'd love nothing more than to be a stay-at-home dad...it just doesn't pay very good. So, he's continuing to ride bulls to compensate for the finances...but he's also working on a couple of more businesses that will hopefully give him the opportunity to hang up the bull rope when he's ready.

Thanks for all the support. I do miss having the opportunity to see fans as often as we used to. That's the good thing about rodeo...it's like one big family! He will be riding at some PBR events...all Rocky events b/c they are still sponsoring him (THANK GOD!) He's also going to a lot of NABA and NFPB events. He's entered some CBR events. Mostly, he's going to the events that are closest to home. He's tired of being gone all the time.

I'll try to do better about keeping everyone updated. It's just been so hard lately because everything is so busy. But thank you all for keeping us in your prayers...that's all that keeps us going at times. We love you all!!!
