What are everyone's favorite songs right now, or what is on everyone's playlists? Over the last couple years, I've really started to enjoy Christian alternative rock music. Right now, one of my favorites is "what do we know" by Thousand Foot Krutch. If you haven't heard their stuff, I highly recommend it. Other favorites right now include "those nights" by Skillet (another great band) and "there will be a day" by Jeremy Camp. As for the always-lovable country music, I'd have to say "all summer long" by Kid Rock and "Johnny and June" by Heidi Newfield is at the top of my list. I also enjoy the newer stuff from Lady Antebellum. What about everyone else? We don't have to talk only about bull riding.  |

i'm sorry, but kid rock will never be country. i my opinion anyway. too many think they can cross over. i like good old country!!
favorite of all time is still chris le doux, then charlie daniels and johnny cash i could go on--

That's why I threw that "always-lovable" part in there. Country music of today is quite different from even 10 years ago, and I do agree that Kid Rock's music will never really be considered country. I do enjoy "all summer long" though.
It's hard to find anything real "country" these days, and that's probably one of the main reasons I've switched over to mostly Christian rock music.

I can't get enough of this song and boy does it ever stick in your brain!
Since I got XM radio three years ago, I've gone away from Country Music (for the most part--I still occasionally listen to it) and have started listening to the 70s, 80s and Classic Rock stations.

Oh Man! Good topic!
Right at this moment I am listening to Whiskey Falls, they are one of my current favorites... Brad Paisley and Garth will always be tied for #1 on my list... I agree with Ashton Shepherd, her CD is awesome and also Julianne Hough, I really love her CD too! As always Sugarland is up there too! Bucky Covington's song I'll Walk is awesome too, Jamie Johnson's Should've seen it in color... I could go on and on and on... I'll spare you though!

Although I love just about any type of music, I mostly listen to country, country rock...I love Heidi Newfield's "Johnny and June", also "What am I waiting for", I also like Miranda Lambert's "Gunpowder and Lead"... Guess it depends on my mood..... |

I am a Texas Red Dirt fan. Right now it is Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland's new Comal County Blue Album, Reckless Kelly and a great band from Minnesota called Sterns County 17, if you haven't heard them check them out on Myspace they have some great bullriding theme songs. They have also played a few shows with Sunny Ledfurd and you can hear a few of the guys sing their stuff while playing guitar at some of the events.

Can I just say that someone needs to give Colby Yates a contract asap? I think he's got a lot of talent and love most of his songs.

Colby does have a recording contract and has cut most (if not all) of the songs for his first album. There is some great songs that are going to be on it and I think it is going to make a major impact not just on the PBR fans but on country music overall.

I'm glad you mentioned Reckless Kelly cause I love "Wicked Twisted Road", "Crazy Eddie's Last Hurrah" and "Rodeo Man". I like Jason Boland too. One of my faves of his is "Falling With Style"...good rodeo song. Um...Aaron Watson is another good one and there's a guy on myspace...Brenn Hill. He's a cowboy. I love love love Trent Willmon too. Oh and can't forget Brooks & Dunn's new song "Cowgirls Don't Cry".Stoney LaRue's "Feet Don't Touch The Ground" & "Oklahoma Breakdown". Zack Brown Band's "Chicken Fried" is good and Jason Aldean's entire new cd lol. Gettin away from country...I also like the song "Fall For You" by Secondhand Serenade and anything by Jeremy Camp.

"Ride it Out" by Jason Meadow is the song that's on my MySpace page right now. It's one of the new CBR theme songs, and it's a good one. Some of you may remember Jason Meadow from Nashville Star in 2005 I believe.
