JW deserves it...it's been 10 years since he's been on top in the standings. I certainly hope that he can hold onto the lead. jamie

If they keep giving him scores for riding 7.8 seconds like they did last night, then yes he has a shot.

I'm honestly not a big JW fan for some reason, although I definitely don't dislike him. However, when a guy rides 7.8, they shouldn't get a score. That's just how it should be. Congrats to JW on being in 1st, but there is a LONG way to go. It's just a matter of time before Jody Newberry is sitting in first.

You sure hit that one on the head, Cody. It's apparant that "enforce the 8-second rule" wasn't one of the PBR's resolutions.
Congrats to J.W. though. He's actually one of the funniest guys out there and a true cowboy.

It would be great to see JW pull it off. There are only a couple guys that I would NOT like to see win, but other than that I think there are also quite a few that have been working hard and deserve to win. I would also like to see one of these young guys win (Jenkins, Briscoe, Canter). When I went to Minneapolis, in the program it lists the riders hobbies. L.J. put for his only hobby "Traveling to bull ridings." Travis put "Riding bulls." No other man even mentioned it. Just thought that was interesting. . . #cowboygrin#

Having been a fan of JW's for many years, I sure would like to see him win the buckle at the end of this year. I love that he's sittin' in first place right now, but it's a loooong year ahead and I'm just not sure that JW's "older" body can handle it. I believe he's certainly got the talent, desire and drive, but not sure his body has what it's gonna take for him to take the world anymore. He's had so many injuries over the years - and ridden with those injuries - that all those injuries and "father time" has taken it's toll. But who knows? Maybe he can pull that rabbit outa the hat! Sure hope he can 'cause he deserves it, in my book!

Agree with csb - nothing against J.W., but if they keep judging his rides like that one in the final round, he's got a good shot to win!

Cody- if you ever have the opportunity to meet JW then def. take it. Like Gus said he is one of the funniest people I have met and he is one heck of a cowboy. I love J-dub, he always has something witty to say. I just wish he felt better this weekend but his wife Lee Ann was a lot of fun!
