And now, a few match-ups, if I may.
Matt Bohon on Charlie Bullware: Here's probably the match-up of round 1. Matt's the only guy to stick it on him, but he's been kinda cold lately. Bullware, on the other hand, is still doing his thing, and I don't think he'll let Bohon stay on for the 8 seconds a second time. I pick the bull to win this one.
Nick Landreneau on Bad Blood: This is another rank draw for a long round. Nick hasn't been very consistent this year, and this bull won't make his life any easier. Bad Blood gets the win.
L.J. Jenkins on Bo Alameda: L.J. needs some points to get himself back on tour full-time. They ride this bull roughly half the time, though he has bucked off some good names like Shivers and Canter. I will give the edge to L.J. because I think he's motivated to stay on tour. Should be among the top 10 in the round.
Clayton Baethge on 3 Spot: Good draw for most guys, as he's been ridden 24 out of 31 times coming into this round. Clayton ought to get along with him well, even if he's relatively new to the BFTS. He's ridden well in the other organizations, but like I said, 3 Spot is the bull that everyone wants. I pick Clayton to be near the top of the leaderboard.
Reese Cates on Mean Dean: Reese is in a funk, and he needs points too. Mean Dean's been ridden 2 out of 4 times, but he's sure mean, and I'll have to pick him over Reese on this one.
Renato Nunes on Encore: Here's another match-up I look forward to. 22 out of 41 times has Encore been ridden, and Renato's having another decent year. However, the last time they met (only time, in fact), Encore not only bucked him off but he darn near crushed his insides into tomato paste at the '07 finals. Renato's riding well, and I expect to see a score near the top of a round victory, as well as another backflip off the rails!
That's all for now. This is looking like a good event for sure - they're bringing some BUCKERS up to Billings! I can't wait to see this one - and any match-ups others might have.
