I'm Officially in the Business

Well, I guess I'm officially a stock contractor now.

I bought half-interest in my first bull and first two cow/calf pairs yesterday. My bull is a 2-year old out of Hot Stuff (D&H's). One of my cows is a 2-year old out of Hot Stuff, and the other is a 3-year old out of Shane. Both of my baby calves are out of What I Say.

I'm very excited about this opportunity, and I feel fortunate getting into the business much earlier than I originally expected. I'm sure I'll keep everyone updated on the happenings.

Congratulations! That is great news. Shane was one of my favorites, does his daughter look like him?

Nope, his daughter is black. And both Hot Stuff offspring are black as well, and he is solid white. It's crazy how those things happen.

Cody Hebert does have quite a few yearling bulls out of Shane, however, and several of them look just like him. He also has a 3-year old that looks like Shane, and he is a very solid bucker.

Well let's hope his daughters offspring are great buckers regardless of their color. Sounds like you have made some good choices, I hope you are well rewarded!
