I'm pretty sure nobody ever checks this place, but I'm going to post something anyway. Maybe a few people will get back into the swing of things, lol.
The Built Ford Tough Series doesn't return until the middle of August, but that will be here before we know it. It's been a slightly uneventful first half in my opinion, but things are pretty wide open going into the last 8 or 9 events. With Touring Pro Division points now counting towards the World Standings, things could tighten up even more before Tulsa.
Four Brazilians are at the top of the standings (Marchi, Vieira, Vieira, and Alves), while Mike Lee is the first American at fifth. Only two of the top 20 have ridden over 50 percent of his bulls so far in 2014, so anyone who gets hot down the stretch can definitely make a run like J.B. Mauney did last season.
What are your thoughts on the second half? Will Marchi win his second World Title, or will it be one of the other Brazilians? Or will someone get hot like Mauney did a year ago and win it all in Vegas? Speaking of Mauney, will he be a factor down the stretch?
I'm hoping Mike Lee makes one last run at a gold buckle. He has ridden very well this summer, and I hope it translates once the BFTS returns in August. Let's get some discussion going here to keep things moving along until the PBR is back on a weekly basis!
