It is great to see Gilbert walk away with a win during his farewell tour. It has been a rocky start to the year for him but this might be just what he needs to get on a roll.
Congrats to Colby Yates for his first PBR victory of the year. One of many I am sure and the win moves him into great position to challenge for a spot on tour five events from now.
For those of you that have not had the pleasure of seeing Willy Ropp ride you are missing out. He is a fun rider to watch and has a style all his own. Best of all, as this victory shows he can also get the job done. Another one that I am sure that we will see on tour at some point this year.
It also looks like Dustin's decision to wait to join the tour until the OKC event paid off. He covered all 4 bulls this weekend and helped move further ahead in the CT rankings to protect his spot as he joins the tour. It also puts him on a great roll going into his first tour event of the year.
Great to see Cord McCoy pick up a check as well. Looks like he is coming back strong from his injuries. Hope to see his name on the money list more often.
Best of luck to all the guys that will be moving up on the BFT next weekend and safe travels and good rides to the rest of the guys that will be criss crossing the country on the other tours next weekend in a battle for the next cut.
