Can anyone tell me how the horse and the rider are doing that was at OKC? I know I have had horses fall on me before and have been ok, both me and the horse. But I worry about getting a horn like that in a horse. And you never know where the swells ended up on the person.
Thanx Tina *concerned horse person*

I just saw the wreck. Dan Henrichs got bucked off and landed on the hornes. When he landed he was knocked out cold and was right in the "ally" where the bulls exit the arena. A bullfighter grabbed him while the others tried to distract the bull, and then the roper (the guy on the horse, I forget what his official title is) got in between the bull and Dan. The bull got the horse in the side and knocked him over ontop of the roper. It was really scary. I hope the PBR will give some sort of update on that wreck tomorrow!

I was so scared! i wish they filled us in as to if the horse was ok. I mean the bull came right toward the horse and flipped him, i just hope he didnt get a horn in the chest. If there was a bull charging towards my horse i think he would just drop dead from a heartattack, i give that horse and rider alot of credit for doing what they do. If anybody gets any news, tell me, i hope everything is ok!

ok, last night Dan Hendricks got b/o he got a horn to the back of the head and was k/o before he even hit the ground. He landed in front of the out gate. The bullriders carefully tried to get him outta the way. In the mean time the outrider put himself between the bull and the downed rider. As they where opening the gate to the inside to keep it between the rider and the bull, the bull knocked down the horse with horn, head, and shoulder. Horse fell down on the riders left leg, horse got up and took off, rider got up and was helping get the gate closed.
I did however see the outrider working after a few bulls and then they where gone from the arena.....

I was at the event and both rider & horse are fine.
Both events not sure if they showed it on tv or not but the 2nd night Chris Shivers started as one of the horse rider/roper and then the 1/2 that Shivers rode in Cody Lambert did it.
I guess that since Julio Moreno's son is so sick they are having to make due.
Chris as well as Cody are both good ropers.
Was a gr8 event but I will be starting a thread to discuss fan club tickets.... tune in!
