Why can't we all just get along? I mean seriously this past weekend I read a post that has since been taken off the board that was an obivious spoiler and a particular person reemed the poster a new one yet again. If you don't want to know why don't you either not open the posts that could possibly be spoilers or wait until monday.....That way those of us who like to know who wins and will still turn it on and watch it won't have to worry about investing in a new hindend. I'm really not trying to sound all pissy about this but I'm getting tired of certain people making others feel stupid that they either forgot to add the spoiler to the message or didn't know where to find it or whatever the case maybe.
I mean heck this is supposed to be a place where you can talk about the riders, bulls, events, etc without having to worry about getting your hindend chewed right? If that is the case why is it constantly happening? Hey maybe the board needs a section completely desginated to spoilers that way we won't have this problem anymore? Jamie

I agree I think that maybe if it is a constant thing that's happening maybe there should be a section completely designated to spoilers. That way those who don't want to know who wins the event won't even have to worry about accidentally coming across it.

We posted the new guidelines for posting spoilers early last week. It will take a few weeks for everyone to get use to. That should resolve the problem once everyone gets use to it. We will look at other things if necessary but will give time to work first. One reason that we want to avoid creating a separate section is that spoilers are really only spoilers for about 24 hours and then become like any other discussion topic. If we create a separate section we lose some of the ongoing discussions on them.

Jamie, The reason I removed the post was becuase I thought the bashing was getting out of hand. Not becuase it had a spoiler in it!
We need to all get along. And Terri is right. It will take a couple of weeks for everyone to get in the loop about the spoilers!!
Terri and I will work something out that should try to solve some of the problems.
If you have any more questions just PM me or Terri!
Have a great day you guys!!

I don't really see how people can post anything about the event if it hasn't aired on TV yet. Sure, the results are posted at PBRNow.Com before we see the event sometimes, but what good does it do to post the stuff here? We can't really comment on the rides, wrecks, etc. anyway. Spoilers have no place on message boards. It ruins the fun for a lot of fans. I don't even come on the message board anymore during the weekends. That's pretty crappy because I still like to discuss things on the weekend. But I'm not going to risk seeing the spoilers here at the board. We shouldn't have to worry about clicking on specific topics. If the little spoiler hack is used like it's supposed to be used, then we don't have to worry about any of this discussion. It only takes 3 seconds approximately to put spoiler in the topic. By the way, I hate spoilers.

Amen Cody... If you guys wanna see the results just go to the PBR website. I like to be able to watch the event and see first-hand who won.
Like Cody said it is not hard to put a spoiler icon on your post. There is a vast majority of us that do not want to know what happened until we can see it... Why should we have to stay away from the board on the weekend? Gosh, Cody started this board and your telling him to not come read the board? That's shotty.
Terri and Holly came up with a solution so all of us can be happy, I don't see why people have to complain about it.

I wasn't complaining about the new system. I was pitching a fit about certain people on the board ripping into people who may have forgotten to put the spoiler sign in the original post - which has been taken down.

hifromwisconsin: you are refering to myself. I did bash the person due to the fact that the warning about spoilers was posted on every page of the site. It was in HUGE letters and hard to miss. Any of us, like Cody said, can go to the PBRnow site for the news if we want it. If you forget to post a spoiler tag than do not post. You know when you type in who won you are indeed putting a spoiler on the board. If you have a problem with what i said dont be shy, come out and say it. Just like cowgirl4life, i too can except criticizm. Oh by the way, the person who posted that should also. This is a rule by the moderators and yes i got mad because I come on here and had to see that. I purposely avoid the pbr site so this wont happen. I guess I can do like Cody, just stay away on the weekends, for those who cannot follow the directions of the site.

I do believe in my original post I said I wasn't trying to be all crabby and pissy about this. I'm just kinda ticked off that I'm being attacked. I've been harassed by MikeLee_fan for asking a question in the fantasy part of the site and I'm kinda sick of it. I thought that this was supposed to be a place were you can post and not have to worry about being harassed about what you posted. Know that I've said what I've had to say. I apologize if I've upset or offended anyone. It was not my intention I just wanted all the harassing to stop.
P.S. It felt and read like harassing to me it may not of been but to me that is what it was.

P.P.S I don't wanna fight anymore. Can't we come up with a solution that will keep the fighting down? Or like it has been posted above by WI8SecFan it is going to take people a little bit to get used to the whole new spoiler rules can't you cut us some slack for a few days to get in the swing of things? Like I said I'm tired of fighting I just want some reassurance that if I or anyone else on the board have a brain fart or something and forget the spoiler or post a post that someone doesn't like that they won't be out for blood and won't make me or others feel like a complete idiot in "public".

I accept your apology, but you do have to remember when you do not post a SPOILER icon you have ruined it for that person, who did not want the results. It is not fun to watch a event that you already know who won. I know I would have been really dissipointed but i already knew who won. mike_lee_fan has never been a problem and i just think she was dissapointed because she wanted to watch to find out who won, not read. Like i said all is forgiven and we can ALL GET ALONG.

thank you for accepting my apology. I understand that when no spoiler icon is posted in a spoiler that it ruins it for people but I haven't posted any spoilers yet and I may not ever I just don't know at this point.

I dont understand how knowing the results before the evnt airs is "spoiling" anything. Do you watch bull riding to see who wins, or to see bull riding? Im biased though, I want to know who did what immediately as it happens. If the PBR site ran the results in real time, I would be all over it.
By the way, chrisshiversn2006 is a special someone under yet another name. You can probably guess who Im refering to.

Jamie... I have no idea what went on, I was in Jacksonville when all this must have happened.
I thought you were complaining about having to post a "spoiler" icon. If that isn't the case then I am sorry my post came off a little mean... I understand it will take people a little bit of time to get used to the new system and certainly wouldn't attack anyone but I would be a little dissappointed.
CB- I watch the event for the bull riding but I also like to have the excitiment of seeing who won firsthand not secondhand. I like seeing the buck offs and rides and not be like oh well chris shivers gets bucked off here. I like having no idea who is going to ride or win. I guess, it is the same reason, I never peek at my x-mas presents.. I like the surprise on x-mas day.

CB- Seeing the results beforehand is definitely spoiling the event. When I see the rider and bull in the chute, that's 90% of the adrenaline rush I get watching the event. I don't know if the rider is going to ride for 8 seconds and get a 90 or get tossed in 2 seconds. That's the exciting part about bull riding. Sure, I watch it for the bull riding, but knowing what's going to happen is crappy. I would still watch it to see the rides, but I definitely wouldn't be nearly as excited about it. As a "fan" only, that's what most of us will be like. If I rode bulls, it may be different. But I don't, and therefore I hate seeing the results before I watch the event. And just because this has been a successful message board doesn't mean it's a place to come without ever having your opinions ripped. Trust me, I've ripped a lot of opinions in the past here, and I've had mine ripped many times. I love it though. Some people can take the heat and some can't. I enjoy the people who can take the heat and dish it right back out. A message board isn't necessarily a place where everyone will get along. I don't get along with 1/4 of the people here, but I still enjoy posting. How boring would it be if everyone got along? That would suck.
