Austin Meier placed second last weekend and has a pretty good lead right now, but Colby Yates has been invited to the BFTS after his performance on the Enterprise Tour. Colby is a super sticky rider and will prove to be a tough comeptitor for Austin this year.
Keep your eyes out, its going to get good.

Can't wait to see what Colby does this weekend. His long go ride in Nashville was close to technically perfect and he spurred the heck out of the bull in the process. If he carries the confidence that he showed there into this weekend look for his name near the top of the money list at the end of the weekend.

Yeah, if Colby keeps his head right, he will def. give them a race for their money. Colby is a great rider, I am excited to see him on tour this weekend!!

I'm luvin that these PRCA guys are showing up on the PBR tour. Maybe we'll finally have an answer to who the better riders are! It'll be interesting. Sure wish Matt Austin would jump in there, too, but it doesn't sound like that's gonna happen.

Yeah Dana about Matt... but Dustin Elliott has been doing a couple ET events so that is exciting... wonder if he is going to make the jump. Crunch time will come towards finals. I bet some of the PRCA guys are trying to make the PBR finals so they can start on tour at the beginning next season. We saw this with BJ last year. They kept calling him up as an alternate but he choose to do PRCA instead but was trying to make the PBR finals, unfortunatly that injury got in his way (as is always the case for BJ... injuries). Either way, I can't wait to see how things play out this year!

Yup, Austin Meier has proven that he belongs with the BFTS and looks like he's here to stay.
Other PRCA riders whose names I've seen (according to recent ET results) recently are Jarrod Ford, Beau Hill, and Clayton Foltyn! It'd be great to see those guys here. Beau, in fact, won money at quite a few of these recent events, so he's tryin' to make a move, it seems.

I have a lot of faith in Austin, he's been riding great! I picked him on one of my fantasy teams, I hope he sticks around for a while!

Every year there are PRCA guys that compensate their PRCA winnings and rodeos with the other PBR tours. That is why come finals time we usually see a few of the PRCA guys making the top 45. What is interesting this year is that more of them are accepting their bids to the BFTS tour and not remaining alternates.
As far as PRCA guys who have been competing in the PBR this year. Besides the guys on the BFTS tour names on the ET and DT tour this weekend included:
Fred Boettcher, Davey Dyke, Clayton Foltyn, DJ Domangue, Dustin Elliot, Tate Stratton, Jarrod Ford, Thomas Bert, Ted Bert, Jay Morrow, Colby Yates, Casey Yates and Cord McCoy
I am sure that there were several others as well but these are the ones that I remember off the top of my head as most of them were in Nashville or related to people in Nashville!

They posted the draws for Portland (round 1) on the PBR website, and some PRCA guys made it in, such as Cord McCoy, Beau Hill and Colby Yates. Can't wait to see what they do in the big time.

Some older PRCA/CBR riders started out at PBR but either could not, or chose not, to stay there, and it is interesting to see some of them coming back.
