Let me start by saying, How can Chris Shivers annoy someone by the commentators talking about him? I understand he prolly gets more publicity than most bull riders but it's not his fault he gets mentioned every broadcast. He is guilty for being a 2-time world champ and setting almost every record the PBR has. He has also won 3 events on the season and is sitting number 1 right now . Sounds like some serious jealousy here folks! I think he and Adriano has earned the respect, and in my opinion they dont talk about Moraes enough. I'm a fan of Briscoe, I believe he has great talent and is going to be special, but he shouldnt be compared to Shivers and Moraes until he has proven himself as a world champ. People judge the bull riders from what they see on-screen and that hardly shows anything about their true character. I just get disgusted everytime I hear a negative Chris Shivers remark!

This is the most confusing conglomerate of thoughts ever posted on the forum.

Again I'm entitled to my own opinion. I have met Shivers and he's a really great guy. Yes he's trying to make history and I'm not trying to deny that....I am just kinda getting sick of hearing about him trying to make history EVERY weekend everyother ride! I know this already and should not have to be reminded constantly of this fact! And considering I haven't missed watching an event YET this season I already know about his three wins and that he's sitting number one in the world.

I don't think anyone is blaming Chris Shivers, Justin McBride, Adriano Moraes, etc. for all the interviews they are getting. I'm sure they don't even want to be interviewed that many times, except maybe Adriano. He is a talker for sure.
It's the PBR's media department that is in charge of all the interviews, etc.
Nobody is blaming the riders, at least I'm not. They can't help it when a camera is put in front of their face.

I agree with you Cody. I don't think that these guys are looking for air time they're just getting it. I'm pretty sure that there are other guys on the tour that have done something that is noteworthy too...but we're constantly hearing about Shivers and Mcbride and Moraes. What about Newberry? What about Willingham? Heck what about Mike Lee? They just need to get some new material is all i'm saying or at least pay attention to whats going on in the event so they don't miss anything noteworthy.

Jody is not a tv guy. He is a terrible interview, it is not his "cup of tea". He seems very nervous when doing an interview and is always looking for the words to use.
I am a huge fan of Shivers hence my name and I do not mind all the coverage. I recall Cody T saying that who cares what they did in another organization it is what they have done in the PBR and I could not agree more. Chris and Adriano once again have a tremendous race going and it will come down to the wire and will be a lot of fun. That is not to say others don't deserve the spotlight, but hey honestly what have the Briscoes, lostrohs, newberrys and many more of the PBR done they have won an event and nothing more besides newberry who won the Finals a couple years back. The young guns are fun to watch and sure they are the future of our sport we love but lets get real the faces of the PBR are those of the Adriano's , JW Hart, troy dun before he retired, Owen Washburn, Jim Sharp, and of course Chris, So please lets give the veterans the repect they are due they have earned it and until they retire they need to keep getting it. Your riders will get the fame they deserve when the deserve it. Until then though, sit back relax and enjoy a trendous race.

I agree to what was said right before me (chrisshiversn2006). And i dont think that its because we both like Chris Shivers. But i dont agree that other people dont have anything to comment on. I think that Jody Newberry is one of the best riders on tour, and hes definitly proved that he can put things beside him and move on. Ok so he might not be that great in front of the camera, but so what the fans want to hear what he thinks too, and i think most people can look past his speech, and see how great of a guy he is.
As for the Chris and Adriano thing, i think that they're just covering them so much, to create suspense as to draw more people into the sport. As said before both Chris and Adriano have no say in whether they are mentioned alot or not. And im sorry but they are not to blame for how much they are publicised for the PBR.
As much a i like Chris (and i like him alot) i agree that some new riders should be incorperated into the OLN broadcasts.

I guess i don't see what everyone is talking about. I do agree that they talk about Adriano and Chris a lot. But I guess I don't think they talk about McBride...THAT much.
I also notice that they talk about a lot of other guys. I enjoy the rider profiles and yamaha best rides. The Yamaha thing they have done Herman, Bohon, Farley, etc recently. I bet this comings rider profile will be Sean Willingham.
I am a HUGE Willingham fan so I am not talking him down here but honestly... what have they had to talk to him about?? This was his first event win in like 6 years of being on tour. He hasn't really won lot of rounds... He isn't REALLY consistent on tour. He was almost cut at the first cut this year until he got something done at Sacramento and OKC.. I guess my point is you guys are only now complaining about him not getting airtime AFTER he won event... where were the Sean Willingham supporters before this? The only other people I know that considered him a favorite are me, Karen and possibly Terri. I guess my point is... if they had talked about him before now, I wonder if everyone would be like...why are they talking to him? He didn't win the event or the round..why aren't they talking to the round winner? Oh well....

Ive always liked Sean, and Chad Denton and a few of the other lesser known guys. I know that the never really talked about Cody Whitney last year too, when he was doing so good. Wish he would get healthy and get going again.
