Lee Akin got pretty beat up last night. Besides being tossed around like a rag doll he took a horn to the head and got hipped when thrown back into the shoot. Though looking pretty messy he walked out with a concussion.

Yeah, I saw on the injury report that he suffered facial lacerations and a concussion. I hope everything is ok with him. He was healthier than he has been in a long time, and he was riding great towards the end of the 2005 season.
Hopefully, he will take this event off and be ready in a month or so when 2006 rolls around.

i sure hope that he gets better!!! kari will be able to give us updates about how he is doing probly once she talks with him.

I didnt get to see what happend but Lee didnt walk away with just a concussion, he broke his nose had several facial laserations and some other stuff. He is headed to Dallas on Monday to consult a plastic surgeon. As soon as I find out what happened for sure I will let you all know.
Lets keep Lee in our prayers.

They announced during the event Sunday that the were mistaken about his injuried and said he was enroute to see a plastic surgeon.
I hope he see a real surgeon to while he's there. I hear those plastic ones have a tough time moving their arms without help.

I have a feelin that Lee has to see the plastic surgeon due to the NUMEROUS times he has broken his nose. Anyway I didnt get a chance to call today. I will call on thursday (as I do every year) and see how he's doing.
