This from the Redding Record Searchlight story on their Enterprise Tour event, which Brendan Clark won.


The standout Brazilian rider Guiherme Marchi won the long go with an 87-point effort on Ghetto Fabulous. But on the dismount, Marchi had his broken toe in his left foot stepped on and also wrenched his back, forcing him to miss the finals.

Ouch.

That does sound pretty bad. I'm not a big fan of Marchi, but I don't like to see any rider getting hurt. I wonder what the long-term effects will be?

On a sidenote, it's awesome to see Brendon Clark get a win. I really hope he makes enough money to make it to the finals. He is far too talented to be in the 40-50 range in money earned.

Oh wow!!! He's not my favorite rider, but I like him. I was looking forward to seeing him make a run for the finals!!!!
I hope the long-term effects won't be too big.

Brendon was pretty active this weekend... as well as other guys. He was in Santa Barbara on Thursday, New Mexico on Friday, N. Cali on Saturaday and down in Del Mar on Sunday.

Santa Barbara and Del Mar didn't work in his favor too well..

Also, it was excellent to see Mike White in Santa Barbara. He was helping them rope and was his usually cheerful self and was actually pretty handy with the rope! What they said at the event is he will be back in September.

That's too bad, Guilherme has been fighting a wrist problem for quite a while too hasn't he? I hope this doesn't affect his BFTS riding!

That's great to hear about Mike!!! I cant' wait to have him back again!! And I bet his buddy Chris can't either! lol. But it's really too bad about Guilherme. I can't believe it! And he's number 1 in the world! Well, I guess he probably won't be for long...
