Here is an update on a few of the riders that have been injured:
Travis Briscoe – Re-injured his riding arm wrist (left wrist) at the Chris Shivers Invitational in Baton Rogue, Louisiana. The broken wrist has been placed in a cast. He will switch hands and continue to compete riding with his right hand.
Myron Duarte -- Broke both sides of his jaw when a bull stepped on him at the Chris Shivers Invitational in Baton Rogue, Louisiana on August 12. Surgery was performed at the Our Ladies of the Lakes Regional Medical Center in Baton Rogue on Sunday, August 13 where plates were placed on both sides of his jaw and his mouth was wired shut. He plans to return to competition in September in Alaska.
Greg Potter -- Greg suffered a sports hernia at the Santa Barbara Challenger Tour event. He will rehab the injury and be out of competition for four to six weeks. Surgery is likely at the end of the season.
Ross Johnson -- Ross suffered a tear in his stomach muscle at the Estero, Florida Challenger Tour event on June 9. He had surgery on July 3 and will return to competition in Alaska.
Cory McFadden -- Cory had surgery on his right shoulder (riding arm) on June 13th and he will be out of competition for three to four months following the surgery.
Mike White -- Mike White was injured during the Mossy Oak Shoot Out following the second round of competition at the Cabela’s Classic in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, March 11, 2006. Mike has been roping and able to get around much better as the healing process has progressed. He is scheduled to return to competition in September in Alaska.
