Anybody watch the PBR special the other night? It was a recap of the season. They had a piece where they interviewed Rob Bell about his son and the whole ordeal him and Shelly went through. They interviewed him for the OKC event since it was the first event Collin went to. It was a really good piece and shows what a good guy Rob is.
He was talking about how he was in Columbus as the 7th alternate for the CT finals last year. So he decided to leave to be with Shelly and Collin. If he would have stayed he would have gotten in to the CT finals (and maybe qualifyed for finals) but instead he got to hold his son for the first time, which he said he wouldn't have traded for anything in the world. He also talked about all the surgeries Collin had: 2 eye surgeries, heart surgey, collapsed lungs, ventilator for 52 days, chest tubes. I guess Collin only had a 30% chance of survival at birth and his brother had an 85% chance.... They have a little fighter on their hands. It was a really great interview, if you didn't see it... I highly recommend looking for a repeat of it.

They showed that piece during the Chicago broadcast and everytime I see it, it brings tears to my eyes. It showed what a wonderful husband and father Rob is because he put everything aside to be with Shelly and little Collin. He definately knows what is important in his life and his bullriding took a backseat to his family. Rob is truly a great man, husband and father. If you haven't seen it, I too highly recommend seeing it. All the gold buckles in the world can't compare to Rob holding his son for the first time.

I have seen that special about Rob like 5 times now, and I never get tired of seeing it. It really does show what a wonderful person Rob is, and how dedicated he is not only to his career, but to his family.

I hadn't seen it before until the other night on the season review special. It was very nice to see, and I agree with Kelly. They definitely have a little fighter on their hands.

Just a check or two in the next few weeks could put him on the finals list. Also you forgot to mention! Those of you that have been voting for Rob be sure to continue to Vote for the All Star challenge. He was in 5th place this morning but as we saw with past votes things can change quickly in the final days. So be sure to vote each day!

WOW Rob is in first and holding on! It just goes to show how many fans Rob really has and how many people he has touched!Keep voting everyone! P.S. Since you get to vote for 5 riders a day just a few others to consider: Don't forget to cast a vote or two for Dustin Hall..see Jess's message about your votes for him. Also lets not forget Jody Newberry! He has shown a lot of great qualities both when everything was going his way and while faced with adversity. Finally, I have to campaign a little for Cord McCoy! He gives it 110% every out and ALWAYS has a smile on his face. It is clear that he loves his job. He is also a really nice guy!

I have been voting for Rob but I already have a list of my 5-6 favorites!! Cory Rasch is my favorite and since he isn't near the top 10 in $$$.. I gotta keep voting for him. LJ Jenkins is another of my MUST vote for guys... he is just a doll!! Colby, Tater and Cord are usually my other two votes! I will try to through Dustin in from time to time.

I have also been voting for Rob and Cory. I also do put in a vote for Ross C. every once in a while since he is my favorite. It is so great to see Rob in the #1 spot and Cory in third (I think). Colby,Tater, Dustin & Brendon have also gotten votes from me as well. I am going to keep voting for them all.

Hold on. I was under the impression that the top-15 guys in the standings were automatics for the Hawaii event, and then 5 more would be voted in by fans. After reading this topic, I must be completely wrong. I have been voting for my favorite 5 outside the top 15. I guess I better start voting for my actual favorites instead. My apologies go out to Mike Lee, Jody Newberry, and Wiley Peterson. I better get to voting. Edit: I just checked it out, and I was right. So there really isn't any reason to vote for Newberry, Peterson, or Lee because they will most certainly be in the top-15 on October 29th. I thought I had lost my mind.

Cody, where did you get that impression?? Just wondering cause all the names I've seen mentioned are out of the top 15.
All the guys I listed are out of the top 15 in money. Although it may still be a good idea to vote for any favorites in the 13, 14, 15th spots, as we know some people will win money that are outside the top 15 and therefore could bump one of your favorites out.
IMO, the only REALLY safe guys right now are the top 4... Remember each round at finals is worth $20K and whoever wins the finals will ensure their ticket to the All-Star event (and if they are outside the top 15, will bump someone). 9th-15th is pretty close in money esp. with knowing how much is up for grabs in Vegas.... And 16-20 really only need one round win to bump someone out.
This just adds excitement to the finals to see who will end up in the top 15 in money! I can't wait!!

Oh, I guess it wasn't from this topic, other than Terri mentioning Jody Newberry. I think it's pretty safe to say Newberry will end in the top 15. Maybe I read all that in another topic here. :/ Or maybe I dreamed it. Either way, I haven't voted for any guys in the top 10 or so. I've mostly cast my votes for Rob Bell, Brendon Clark, Kody Lostroh, Austin Meier, and LJ Jenkins. I've thrown a few Mike White's way as well, but he doesn't need anymore help. Edit: Kelly, keep in mind it's only the standings as of October 29th. That doesn't take into affect the entire Finals. And is it going by money or BFTS Standings? I must be confused on more than one area of this deal.

It is the top in BFTS points. This whole thing is just confusing to me too...
