The wreck i just saw was probably the worst ive seen in a long time. He was out cold...and he had a helmet on! i hope hes ok considering hes already had one pretty serious head injury. I believe we all need to pray for Mike for his health and speedy recovery.

Dustin is with Mike on the way back to the room. His cheek is real swollen and might be fractured. He is a little loopy, and Tandy said to keep waking him up every couple of hours. Mike is tough but smart too... we will wait and see what Tandy thinks about the third round. I know what I think, but you can only guess how much difference that makes. Keep the prayers coming, it is going to be a long night.

Hrm, PBR injury report lists it as just a concussion and listed as questionable to compete, though if you look in the draw for round three he is listed. Maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked? ......either that or he has bad judgement when it comes to riding and not riding considering the other head injury and how he looked last night.

It looked pretty bad to me... one of the scariest wrecks i've seen. I couldn't imagine him coming back to compete tonight...

Who saw what happened to him at Anaheim tonight? My God, my heart was close to jumping out of my mouth after watching that! I just hope he pulls through this - and maybe take some time off, because he desperately needs it.
Anaheim was full of scary moments, I thought.

I couldn't believe what happened to Mike last night. Everybody has said that they don't agree with his decision to ride so soon, and it was aweful to see that happen to him again last night. I was very much relieved when Dr. Tandy Freeman said that Mike was doing alright.

Mike, together with Dr. Tandy and Mike's wife, have decided to take some time off at home. Last I heard 2 months.

Mike doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. I want him to get better first, then comeback. If I had to bet the farm on one rider to ride any given bull, it would be him.

I'm very happy to hear Mike will be taking a couple months off. The race for the title is by far secondary to his life longevity. Since the first head injury, Mike wasn't riding with the same aggression, so it was the worst of both worlds. I hope he gets completely healed up before trying another quick comeback.

It was a very scary wreck and I am glad that Mike wears a helmet. Multiple head injuries can impact a rider in so many ways both physically and mentally I am glad to see that Mike is going to take a little time off. The bad part is that unlike a broken bone etc the injury is not as evident so riders can feel fine even when they should continue to sit out. With as driven and focused as Mike I imagine it is going to be torture for him (and therefore possibly his wife ) to be sitting out in about 2 weeks watching his friends/rivals ride when he is feeling like he can get on but knows and is advised not to. Hope he heals quickly and has a great return as it is always hard to see a guy have to sit out with an injury.
