what do you think of the RIDERS soaking there bulls.
i know that adrino soaks his bull and paulo crimber does to but its not only the brizalins doing it the amercans do it. do you think it far to the stock contractor/or the bull. i think that having your rope pulled so tight is like cheating, and then they sit there and wait for the bull to go out the arena it is just wrong the bull needs a far advantage too.

Having never been on the back of a bull, I guess it's unfair for me to have an opinion about this but I'm against soaking the bull. I think if you gotta pull your rope so tight that it affects the bull's performance, then somethings lacking in your riding ability. Having ridden horses for lots of years, I know that most folks who pull their girths so tight on their horses are the ones who lack balance and natural ability. And there are others who ride with their girths so loose you can slip a fist in there between the girth and the horse's belly and those are the folks who have balance and natural ability. So if bullriding is anywhere near comparable - and I'm thinking it probably is - to pull a rope that tight, well maybe you need to go back to the fundamentals and cure what's wrong there and not take it out on the bull and affect HIS performance.
On the other side of the arguement: my husband insists there is absolutely no way one can pull a rope around a bull tight enough to affect his performance. I think he's full of poop but I love him anyway!
I'd sure love to hear from some riders on their view on this subject!

i think you can pull a rope tight enough because they have four people pulling there rope and i usally have one person pull it and it get pretty tight now if there is four people pulling it then you can get it tight enough to effect the bulls performence. And the pros even use the suicide wrap so they shouldnt lose there ropes even though they do. i've been watching the pbr for 4 years and i have never seen adrino lose his rope but the other riders lose it much more. i would like to hear from more riders on this topic too. one more thing these are bigger bulls then junior rodeo so my opinion may be wrong

The tighter you pull your rope...the better the possibilty of your hand getting blown out. The tightness of your rope also can depend on the size of the rider for example Justin McBride he is small and lots of balance and then for the Moraes brothers they are bigger and pull a tighter rope same goes for Marchi (but i dont like him anyway but yea)
