I've heard his CD and I like it. Not because it's the greatest thing ever, but because it's rough and unpolished unlike a lot of what you hear today in music.
I like "God's in Oklahoma", "It Takes Alot", and "Went For a Ride".

i do have his cd. i bought it at the finals and had him sign it. he nevr looked up when i put it in front of him, he just signed it and went on signing pictures. that was ok with me. i just wanted him to sign it. i think i like several songs, one of my favorites is cheap saddles. it reminds me of my dad who often said those exact words. and i like tough.

I never really cared if someone was friendly to me or not. Heck, they didn't know me from Adam. But, on the flip side, I watched for guys and rooted for some who took the time to shot the breeze or share some Southern Comfort.

I wan't attacking Justin McBride. This is a place for fans to "discuss" things. I was rooting for Justin to win the finals, he is an Okie. I just wish he was more accessible to the fans and friendlier.
I do know there are 'rules" for the riders at PBR events, perhaps Amanda could shed some light on this issue.
I know that one of the major goals of the PBR is the 'fan base". We have helped to make it such a loved sport.
I just wish Justin were friendlier and more accessible to his fans and was asking if others had any stories to share, it was not an "attack" on Justin. Gee, don't take it personally I wasn't talking about "you" (forgot the name of the person that was so offended)
Just a discussion board for fans, no reason to get so upset. If you only knew how "grown up" I really am.
Check your blood pressure.

Ive heard his cd, and i like it a lot!! as for justin himself all of the meet and greets ive been to he wasnt there. But they were all justified reasons, 05' finals was the day after he got kicked in the face, and the 2 in worcester i showed up late and he wasnt there. I did happen to see him in NY and he was very polite said hi, asked how we were doing ect. give the man a break i think hes the type that would rather ride bulls and stay with his family and friends then become a spot light bull riding celebrity.

Everyone has a different personality. If a rider isn't smiling constantly and shaking hands after every event - it wouldn't change my feelings for him.

Gosh, it's been forever since I posted on this board. (Sorry guys...hectic life right now!) Anyway, I will choose to comment on this topic. To my knowledge, the guys are still required to sign at the end of an event unless the following occurs: *They are injured during the event *They have prior engagements (signing somewhere else) *They did PR work before the event Otherwise, the guys are fined $500. Now, this is all going on the rules 2 years ago (as Jody was not on tour last year). I am not sure if there is an exemption for World Champs or not. As for Justin, he's not the friendliest rider on tour, but he's not the most unfriendly either. He and Jody are not "best buds" or anything, but he always says hello to us in passing and doesn't give the cold shoulder. He is not as easily approached as other riders may be, but he is probably approached more than a lot of riders too. Jody always tries to be friendly and approachable, but often times, I've had to say "Jody, I think they want your autograph," when we're walking around the venue, hotel, etc. He just doesn't always see the fans like I try to (because, before being a bullrider's wife, i was a fan!) Anyway, I hope that helps shed some light on the topic. In every sport you will have those who are very approachable and energetic (God love Cord), those who are approachable but not always cognizant (God love Jody), and then those who are not appoachable (God bless Ty). It is nice to "meet" they guys and feel a personal connection and it makes a better fan; however, there are also times when you just like this rider's style or smile and therefore cheer him on. Whatever your preference, be mindful of the hullabalue (sp?) the PBR requests of these riders. Hope to see you all real soon...Keep Jody in your thoughts and prayers as he attempts to get back on tour this year. He didn't really try last year because he became burned out. I know that God has a plan for Jody...and if the PBR and bullriding is it, it will all work out! God bless, Amanda

Thanks, Amanda, for updating us about Jody.
I met Jody at a Meet & Greet in Greensboro in 2006 and he impressed me as one of the friendliest riders there. The event was almost over and Jody unbuttoned his top 2 shirt buttons and was walking around with a cup of coffee. We sorta just bumped into each other and chatted awhile. My husband took a picture of us together and it's one of my favorites--maybe because I'm 5'9" and he towered over me!
As for Justin, I've had nothing but negative experiences with him, especially in Greensboro 2007 when he spent his free time in the hotel restaurant, lobby and bar with PBR "big wigs." I asked how his shoulder was and he spatted back, "I guess it's ok or I wouldn't be here." He didn't make eye contact, just walked away.
On the other hand, Adriano, Guilherme, JW, and so many others, even Ty, have always been gracious.
