Wow....the coverage for this event was just AWFUL! In total, I think they may have showed less than half the roster - and they cut TWO guys out of both the long round and the short round: Allan Moraes and Luke Snyder (especially Moraes who finished 4th in the event!, and Snyder, who they should've shown make it into the short round and end a cold streak)! It's like they didn't exist or something. Plus we didn't see the rerides for Brendon Clark or JW Hart in the short go, nor did we see long-round rides from a lot of the top guys including Greg Potter or Troy Dunn or Rogerio Ferreira. In fact, for the most part, every section of action only featured about 2 or 3 rides before they went to needlessly extensive commercials. I was so disappointed in what the PBR and OLN did here....I hope they get their act together next time.
And slightly off-topic, good to hear from Haber again, but again, where was McKee? Did he leave for good or something? He was gone again and I'm wondering if he left because he hasn't been around since Dallas.

Well I am totally with you!! I thought this coverage just sucked. I mean they don't show half the riders, the camera angles were terrible, and it isn't cool when you cut into a ride halfway through. I am happy I got to see Ross ride though. Sometimes they cut him out.
As for the new set up, I was just getting used to the old one and now they put the scrolling thing at the bottom of the screen. And it seemed too small. I don't know.
Maybe they are just messing with stuff so that they can get it right for the finals. Let's hope that is it anyways.!

I couldn't agree more. I think everyone must have been rusty after the long layoff. That includes whoever was running the stopwatch. How many guys were bucked off before eight seconds and still received scores? When the announcers say the guys were fortunate, you know something is messed up.

Hey guys quit making excuses for them. They sunk alot of money into the NHL and the pbr will take a backseat. They will not want to pay McKee the kind of money he wants, they will not be able to keep The producer due to the fact that they will need to move him into the NHL part of the Network. It is gonna be a downward spiral and the pbr will not be what it once was on oln. Dont be surprized if they switch networks now and go to the Outdoor Channel, Who would love to have them or if Spike might go after it also they love the mens sports on there.
I dont think i am off my rocker i dont know if you all even knew about the signing of the NHL but it was a small fortune especially compared to the pbr which is minimal.
Yes the coverage sucked because they have new people doing the production. I wouldnt be surprized to see haber, leah and Gaffney all leave because of this.
I am a huge Hockey Fan and i am thrilled that it will be on oln but i am a huge pbr fan and so i am dissapointed but whatever the outcome i will live with it not pregnant dog and understand the reason why it is the way it is.

I JUST WANNA WATCH SOME BULL RIDING WITH SOME DECENT ANNOUNCERS! I like the way things are....what are they changing and why the heck are they doin it? geesh....dont they know the phrase "if it aint botherin you none...leave well enough alone or BUTT OUT!" idk how it goes exactly. but good lord...just when i get into routine they change sumthin....i feel like an old person naggin right now so im gonna shut up. good grief.

Ok megs the problem with your if it aint broke dont fix it comment is the fact that they just sighned the NHL which is gonna be a lot more important than the pbr. Let me break it down for you one pbr event a week equals attendance of 14,000 on a daily basis the nhl will have that time 18 for all the arenas per day. maybe not that many but lets get real Hockey is followed more than the pbr. With That said However i favor the pbr after what the nhl did.
Justin Mckee will be gone as will brett haber he will do the monday and tuesday night NHL games. He used to be the voice of the Baltimore Orioles along time ago and sports like hockey are his passion so look for him to be gon. Do you remember the voice every hated that is who's taken over for haber justin was replaced by who knows i couldnt tell ya. Don't be surprized if the pbr goes to another network like i said previously.
I love the PBR but as a buisness decision they made a good one.

OH Todd you are probably right. I completely forgot about them saying that they had aquired the NHL. Lets just hope that the PBR doesn't take a back burner. I do have to say that the NHL will be good for OLN. But I guess we will see where PBR ranks after it has all started!!
Thanks for reminding me about that Todd. I am sure that has something to do with it. Maybe the fact that it was in an outside arena too. Who knows!!
I was happy to have the PBR on this weekend though!!!!

It just does not add up if you know what i mean.
Justin Gone, leah here and there, the annoying guy dont know his name getting broke in, Brett Haber not doing as many as he used to. I call all this a down sizing. It is a buisness and believe it or not the OLN does not care what the pbr fans think it is all about the mighty dollar and that is the facts. Why do you think the pbr pulls event out of cities that dont meet the guarantee they get there event pulled so lets just wait and see but i have a bad feeling about this.
They will switch networks within the next two years.

I'm pretty sure Justin McKee was announcing the rodeo in Ellensburg, Wash., which is why he wasn't at the event -- the same reason he missed the Tulsa event because he was announcing Cheyenne Frontier Days.
So I think he'll be back whenever he doesn't have a conflict.
As for OLN, I think Todd's right and both the PBR and PRCA will probably have to move off there eventually. However, the stories I read about the NHL deal said their main nights initially will be Mondays and Tuesdays, so the cowboys might be safe for the time being.

todd....your right. The OLN would probably be makin a good so called "buisness decision", but that will not improve my temper....i just wanna throw my fit. Then i will eventually get over it. NHL...hmph.

I agree with all of you. I would also like to add that i was disappointed that we didn't see most of the guys that were returning from injuries... Cory Melton out since June (and that event in June was his first all year). Cory Rasch out since Colorado Springs not to mention he is still in the top 35 guys in points and money. Craig Sasse, whom has been out for quite a while (May I believe). All three of these guys are highlighted in the pre-release for the event as returning to competition and then they did not show them. That was stupid... GRRRR. I was esp. interested in seeing Melton and how he was holding up after having hand surgery in June....

No offense cowgirl4 life but they did not ride. I dont remember ever seeing people that didnt ride being on a pre recorded program unless it was the top guys like lee justin marchi and so forth. Yes i know they are good BUT they did not ride therefore they were not shown.
It was an overall terrible week a terrible event i am more upset about allan and my boy luke snyder. His first two qualified rides in his last 40 attempts in the pbr i would have loved to have seen that. At least it would have shut me and my opinions about him up.
Anyways in closing:
ARE WE REALLY SURPRIZED AT THE S H I TT Y COVERAGE

yea i couldn't believe that some of the rides got scores when they clearly came off before time i mean maybe the stop watch was different and i thought cody lambert did a really good job with deciding if it was a qualified ride or not. like one of the guys rode for only 7.9 and didn't get a score while another rode for 7.7 and recieved a score. they gave out several re-rides that i didn't think deserved a re-ride option, i saw nothing wrong with some of the rides and it was just that they bucked off and nothing happend to cause them to recieve a re-ride. other then that the event live was really good and i was pretty happy and now i see that i'm so happy to of seen it at the event that night instead of sunday on tv.

Afetr all the complaining i realize they are trying to make it better for all. I am just dissapointed in the coverage. I understand that when change takes place it isn't always as smooth as it should be. I can accept it lets just hope it gets better.
