I don't get it though - the PBR says the short-go draws are up but they are NOWHERE to be seen....sheesh.
What a pen of bulls they are bringing to this event - Herringtons, Frontier, D&H/Teague, Bergers, Paradise Farms, Loudamy, Carter, Bruce, Lufkin, Guidry, etc. Here's my picks for the long round (and anyone can tell me what they think or make their own):
1) Dusty LaBeth on Wild Thang - Boy, did Dusty draw rank here. This bull knocked out the newcomer Rogerio de Souza Pereira in KC and he can suuuure buck. Dusty needs a ride but this bull, I think, is too much for him.
2) Paulo Crimber on Hot d**n - This bull's good (Mike White proved so in Mohegan Sun with a 91.5) but Paulo's been red hot lately! I think Paulo can stick it on him and even contend for the go-round.
3) Luke Snyder on Leroy - Luke needs to break through in the PBR, but this is not the bull he needed here. I have to go with Leroy.
4) Dave Samsel on Shallow Hal - Dave should remember him....he was knocked cold in the chute by the bull at the Finals last year, but even if he can get out on him, this bull is hard to ride. I'll give the edge to Shallow Hal.
5) Chris Shivers on White Line Fever - Chris is definitely healthy again, and this will be bad news for the bull; I say Chris will stick it on him and maybe win the go-round!
6) Lee Akin on Uncle Charlie - Lee is riding the Lee Akin of old again, and I think that he can match moves with Uncle Charlie if his confidence is still there.
7) Ross Johnson on Blue Jack - Ross desperately needs a ride here and this is the perfect bull to do it on. I'll be surprised if he does not stick it on this bull, in fact.
8) Mark Ward on Dobber - Mark needs a ride and some cash too, but this bull will be a challenge for him. Dobber will be my pick here.
9) Adriano Moraes on Silver Select - Well....I'll call a 50/50 here - it just depends on which Adriano shows up.
10) Matt Roy on Peacemaker - In the recent few events Matt has proven that he can ride with the big boys on tour. This bull oughtta be a good fit for him and he should score somewhere between the high 80's to 90 on this one. Good draw.
Thoughts, anyone?
