Why was the NBC guy calling the "game" last night? Where's our lovely and talented Brett Haber (who is not lovely nor talented, but I can't stand the nameless NBC guy).
Is Tava gone or was she just off?
Looking forward to tonight's broadcast!

She must be off, but if that's not the case, that may be even better. Craig knows what he is doing and dear GOD, I hope he at the least replaces Donna Brothers....
As for Kenny Rice, I guess he'll call a complete event if one of those days is broadcast on NBC. Last year he's even called a few events that WEREN'T on NBC (such as Atlanta, Greensboro or Tacoma). I still prefer Haber.

Yes when NBC has an event or part of an event broadcasted Kenny does all the commenting or at least the majority of it. As I said in the other thread Im not a fan of Kenny Rice and Im liking Craig Hummer a heck of a lot better than Tava.

I think Tava has gotten a bad rap. I believe she is starting to get acclamated to the whole "cowboy" thing. She was a big fan of the PBR and she said so herself and I believe she is in aw, that she is so close to them now. Brett has his flaws, i even said it, but he is still decent. I think, those of you who are critics, need to put yourself in their shoes and realize the art of tv is difficult. I know if I had to, I would struggle for a while just because I would know there were critics out there who THOUGHT they could do a better job and ridicule them. Just enjoy the event for what it is after all you do watch the bullriding right?

I like Kenny Rice and I have enjoyed the commentating this weekend. Craig Hummer has done a great job behind the chutes and McKee and Murray have been very good. Miss Michael Gaffney though.

I don't think Tava even knew what the PBR was before the job was available... She said she was looking through the 8 second book from finals and got a crush on LYJ... there is no way a fan from the PBR cannot know LYJ!!
Again, I don't care for Tava but some of it has to do with actually seeing her in person. As for Craig, after watching rounds 1 and 2 I like him a lot better. Tava has done about the same amount of events as Craig and he just handles himself better. He is a natural at making the interviews flow well and the riders seem comfortable around him.

I know I wouldnt do well in her shoes, but if you think of it would NASCAR or the NFL have someone so inexperienced in front of the camera interviewing? Im sure she is a great actress and a great person, but Im not sure I like her as a backshoot interviewer. Im sure if we gave her all year she would eventually get better, but do we need to watch all her bobbles everyweekend and watch her progress and regress. She has done this once already in my eyes. I was actually starting to like her and then the last two weekends she went downhill again when they gave her more air time. She is a pretty face and Im sure she is in shell shock and in awe of where she is and what she is doing.

I agree Craig handles himself much better. I wasnt sure what to think of him at the finals, but he keeps getting better and better. He handles himself very well, and knows more about bullriding Tina

Okay I am not a Kenny Rice Fan so I will just leave that one alone. Ty on the other hand always does a great job and I like to hear from him once in a while. It mixes it up a little from Gaffney. Don't get me wrong I like Gaffney but after so many events in a row it is fun to hear a little different perspective from someone else who has been there done that but also has a totally different view point. Craig gets my vote for the behind the chutes commentator as well. He just seems more natural and does better transitions then Tava.

Craig Hummer is such a good interviewer and great personality that he will be one of the host for the Olympics. So that tells me for two weeks we will not see him in the PBR. I guess he has made a great impression on many people and has been given a huge "gig". The olympics are a tremendous accomplishment and that shows just how good he is.

I also email the PBR to let them know how much I enjoyed Craig Hummer's behind the shoots commentary. I encourage the rest of you to do the same if you enjoyed him as much as I did ;D

I am a Craig Hummer fan, thats for sure. Never stuttered, spoke well, asked good questions, and it almost sounded like he did his homework before showing up. Kenny Rice, well, he says some goofy things at times, but I'll take him over Brett Haber.
