An episode of CSI Las Vegas was filmed during the last round of the PBR finals this year. The episode is now scheduled to air on Thursday January 10th on CBS and is bull riding themed. Set your TIVO and DVR now!

i saw their filming, and thought they did a strange job. can not wait to see how they butcher the sport. the actors i saw in the arena didn't have a clue. loved the injured cowboy while they would run out and do "make up" several times. and the bullfighter sitting on the fence waiting for something to happen. it should be interesting.

Yeah, I saw the preview as well. Should be interesting. Just watch it with a grain of salt and be happy bull riding is the subject of TV's Number 1 Show.

I'll probably watch it. Don't know how accurate I'll expect it to be though.

I saw finally saw the ad and can't wait to see it, although I expect, like you all do, to see a lot of inaccuracies and stereotypes. I still think it will be fun.

I got up to get something to eat (I work third shift so I sleep all day and I'm up all night) right when they said that "I need to process your bull." The bull they "processed" I could have sworn his ear tag Mossy Oak Mudslinger, my dad told me that that was the "re-ride" bull and that Wintwister was the original draw. I missed the very begining and my parents said that they saw Ty, Jewel and that they saw Adriano standing on a fence also. I seriously hope that they made up the whole stealing the "goodies" thing up, that and the whole bull "sex toy" kinda ruined it for me. The whole writing the bull a poem kinda was creepy too. I did notice that a couple of the last scenes were green screen too.

I didn't recognize any of the riders except for Ty.....though someone else in my family said they thought they saw Greg Potter.
I wasn't real crazy about the show. I thought it would be more about bull riding than what it was. I normally don't watch CSI, but watched it a few months ago when they had a show that dealt with pit bull fighting. That one was very accurate in how they did fights, ect. I guess I was expecting the same thing with the accuracy with the PBR one and for it to be as much related to PBR as the dog fighting one was to dog fighting. In short, I was pretty disappointed with it, and in the end with the whole "sex toy" thing, I wouldn't be surprised if the show did more harm for the sport than good.

No offense to CSI fans, but we thought the program was rather lame.

CSI used to be a much better show. I used to watch it a lot, but haven't in a couple of seasons. It was the PBR episode that had me try it again and I can't believe how much it's gone downhill.
That was so bad. What a disservice to the riders. I laughed a lot, but most of the time it wasn't in a good way, but because it was so ridiculous. All the stereotypes were there, which shouldn't have surprised me, but did.
All across the net, I'm seeing that lots of fans agree with us.

count me in on the agreeing that it was not good. i was aafraid of that when i was there and they were taping at the finals. what i saw there was a farce. and the steriotyping was bad. even my son came through the room and was complaining about the acting and the way they talked, walked and dressed. didn't like it one bit!!!

i'm not a fan of CSI - never watched it before this episode. having said that, i thought the whole thing was lame, from the acting to the disjointed plot. when it was over, i was lost as to who killed who and why. honestly, i wasn't expecting much, and i wasn't disappointed.
you'd think they would have had someone who was savvy to the sport watch the show before it aired to point out things that were so obviously wrong. like, when the detectives were interviewing Cash, his cowboy hat was on the table brim-side down. no cowboy i know would do that with his hat. also, the female stock contractor, her choice of cowboy hat was so ridiculously lame! no self-respecting cowgirl would have worn something like that. there were other things, too, that i can't recall now but when i saw them, i just rolled my eyes.
as far as the "sex toy" thing - well, obviously some of you folks didn't grow up on the farm. that little item has been used for years and hardly gives the bull what i would think is a pleasurable effect. however, it does "enhance" the collection of bull semen. the way it was explained on the show would lead you to believe that it was used for different purposes than what it is.
oh, and i think ty murray is one h*ll of a rough-stock rider, but sorry to say, he's a terrible actor.

So, I just watched the PBR CSI show via the internet, and I have to agree. I think this really hurt the sport. It was just rediculous from beginning to end, but that's how those shows are.
There were quite a few guys that I recognized in the beginning: Mike Lee, Wiley Petersen, Greg Potter, Matt Bohon, Justin McBride.
Why does the PBR do things like this? Don't they realize that they are making fun of the sport?

Well I am a little slow on posting this but I have to agree it was a horrible show. The show itself was not well written in general and not well connected...It also made the people involved look like a bunch or redneck yokles. Heck it even gave the buckle bunnies a bad name! LOL
That said I had at least ten people that are not fans of the sport come to me the next day to ask me about the show. I guess it is the theory that there is no such thing as bad publicity. In the end it exposed (for better or worse) a new crowd to the sport.

I have to agree that the show was really bad. I am actually a big fan of CSI Las Vegas (the only CSI one I watch), but even that show was about the worst one I have seen. I did notice one thing (aside from bad acting/plot). When Cody (the dead guy) was walking into the arena, they showed him from the back & it said "Sendex" on the back of his vest along with a PBR logo patch. But, when he was in the bucking chute his vest all of a sudden had Cinch across the back (which it was Justin McBride doing the riding) plus 3-4 more sponsor patches. I guess who ever is in charge of making sure the stunt double matched the actor must have been an a coffe break or sleeping not tohave seen that boo-boo.
I too did have people that I work with ask about the show as well and so I guess it is somewhat good PR for the PBR eventhough it was a pretty bad story ....I too got confused as to who had killed who and how they were all connected. But that is the joy of having it on TiVo and I was able to rewind and watch again so I could catch what I missed.
