When the stakes are so high, it would seem having access to replay would be a great advantage. I agree with CThrash13 that if Marchi had won the finals after that 7+ ride, there would have been a lot of ticked off fans. Justin's ride wasn't pretty, but he wasn't about to let go. I don't think any of us believe that every ride should be reviewed, but when there's a question of time or slapping the bull, I would think the judges would want to be able to back up their call, if nothing else. And how does a score get changed anyway? Someone's addition off in the first place? - not a good thing.

Marchi did win finals from that ride... and i didn't see any riders mad at the awards ceremony... They even gave him a standing ovation. Marchi is a very nice guy and congratulated Justin during his acceptance speech and ran up and gave him a hug at the end. It seems the only people getting their feathers in a ruffle are fans that want to complain about everything... If the participants can except it as part of the sport, why can't the fans?
PS. and like someone else already posted the clock on TV and in the arena is not the "official clock" so I am sure they wouldn't have given him a score had that clock not been 8.

Y
The scores get changed because the ones that you see on tv are the "unofficial scores" many times they are someone trying to give hand signals across the arena. The finals scores are those that are marked on the judges sheets period. They are not changing scores by any means. Starting this year all events will have 4 judges (previously there were 2 judges scoring at regular season events and 4 at the finals) this may change the way we see scores slightly as well.

I think that the PBR pulled a NASCAR and changed the rules in the middle of the dance to work in Justin McBride's favor. I have nothing against Justin but now that he's won his title he can stop his whining. I just think that there were a few rides during the regular season that could have been called and weren't. So if you ask me the judges have been doing a pretty half a$$ job enforcing the rules that were put into place to make the game fair for everybody.

The PBR do not use hand signals.. Scores are called in by a person next to the judge.. that headst is linked to everyone .. Including TV production team.....

I have to say that i like the yellow flags that the NFR uses. I think those are good because they aren't distracting enough for the riders but everyone knows that there is a rule infraction.
