I didnt say they didnt offer it.....You just have to get the most expensive package to get it. From what I have seen on the net it is around 95$ to get the premeir package, which doesnt include the networks at $2.50 each and the DVR at $5.99 a month.
Oh well, either way I have a problem...LOL
Tina *ok ok I did say I couldnt get that channel..what I ment is what is above*

I'm still trying to get my hubby to committ to calling DirecTV tomorrow. I do occasionally watch the CBR but nothing like my PBR!!!! He wants to wait and see what happens Monday. All I know is I can make his life very miserable by Friday if I don't have my OLN! Instead of wanting my MTV (like I did in the 80's) I want my P-B-R!!! There is a reason they call this the 8 second addiction site! ;D I do appreciate the info on that TENNESSEE wrote. I will be anxious to get home tomorrow and see what happened. I do hope that DISH sees how many loyal fans the OLN has b/c of the PBR. I also hope DISH loses a lot of customers over this. We rural folks don't have many choices in tv. I just feel they should've given us a choice to pay more, it may have been an option for some of us. I hope DirecTV doesn't drop it! Fingers crossed.... Julie

Well I will have my Directv installed tomorrow mornning :jaw:, just ordered it less than an hour ago. And I live in the middle of nowhere. So it is very very impressive that they are getting it installed so soon. However we are taking a huge hit by canceling Dish before the contract is up. I did get the OUTDOOR TV for an extra $1.99 a month. We will get FOX and ABC right away at $1.50 a channel and have to waite on CBS and NBC for the waiver to come back so we will have to pay $1.50 instead of $2.50.

Glad you're gonna have OLN before the Finals begin! That IS surprising that you can have installation that fast! I'm gonna have to check into seeing how much (or if I can) add the Outdoor Channel because I truly do like to watch CBR when it's on.

It is very suprising. Im over an hour away from any town that has a Walmart or anyother stype of big store.

Hey tina, I am glad to see you made the switch. You will love it and the customer service is second to none. I called today cause the miami game was not on this week and plus i had ordered the superfan package. Anyways the high def receiver we have is not interactive so they sent me a new receiver and gave me 6 months free of HBO and SHOW. They also sent me a brand new receiver with interactive controls for free and credited my account 99 dollars which was the cost to upgrade. They are a great company and i will never leave them.
With you being surprized, DON'T they go out of their way to make you happy. It will take them about an hour and a half and you will be up and running. I encourage anybody who is hesitant in getting Directv dont you will love it and they are number one.

I am getting nervous. We were waiting until today to switch. I hope my husband will call in the am and have the directv installed. (today is Monday, time is getting away)
I ran into Holly at the store, it was kinda embarassing, she came up to me and asked how I was doing. I am embarassed by my behavior with this whole DISH thing but surely everyone on this post knows exactly how I feel. I enjoy watching it, religiously and now it's gone!
My fingers are crossed that I will have OLN by this weekend. If not...... Holly and Cody, your place? (just teasing)
I will be sure my dilemna is resolved tomorrow hopefully.

today I was wondering what would happen to ECHOSTARS stock because of this. It looks pretty unaffected right now, we'll wait and see. here is the stock sybol & report with many differnt links to the problem. finance.yahoo.com/q?s=DISH&d=tI wish I had a magic ball to tell me what to do, doesn't look like DISH will work this one out.

Julie, I honestly WOULDN'T wait to see what Dish is gonna do. In my mind, I think they made it pretty clear that they won't be resolving this issue with Comcast. Sure hope you don't take too long to decide to get DirecTV and then you miss the Finals!
I guess if Holly and Cody don't invite you to their place to watch them, I hope the least they can do is TAPE them for you! ;D
